Loving writing my book, a quick peek, and nearly a year in Gloucester.

I enjoy writing so freaking much.

I’ve completed chapter 7 of my book with over 24 thousand words, and so far at the time of starting to write this, I’ve jumped straight into chapter 8 without thinking of it.

I feel this book has now taken on a life of its own and I’m now finding it easy to write, although it was easy to write so far anyway, finding the time to get that typing done has been a bit scarce.

Life has been a little tough as of late, but I’m on the right path to getting things right again.

I’ve been struggling to blog, but not with my book, I’ve been able to get lost in it with music playing in the background, but blogs just haven’t been flowing at all, I’ve got about 7 blogs started but not finished.

I’ve also found a new group of people on twitter, it’s a bunch of writers helping other writers get exposure, it’s a whole community of authors and artists of all kinds helping each other and it’s a good promising sight to be fair, so any writers reading this (or readers looking for new books/blogs to read) head over there (link below).

It’s been rough, but I think I’m getting it back people, and it feels good. Life outside of writing has kind of become repetitive but after today’s meeting, it will soon become better and easier, finally getting onto the right path.

I’ve been in Gloucester for nearly a year now, and I’ll be lying if I say it’s been easy, it sure as hell hasn’t. I’m happy don’t get me wrong, but I think I’ve been suffering from culture shock, it’s like a completely different world, I shit you not.

Life down here is so different from Walsall, your whole attitude has to change. Seriously, people down here are way more chilled and relaxed, I’m not used to that.

Where I come from people are always on the go, constantly moving, and continuously moving onto the next challenge or moving to the next job, you couldn’t stand around for longer than 5 minutes.

Round here people are way too laid back, and I’ve been told (countless times) to slow down, don’t do so much, but that’s not me, I like to get shit done and then chill after.

I suppose It is something I will (and need to) get used to, and I will eventually slow down enough to be on par with the natives.

I love it down here though, I really do and I’m not complaining, I just needed to get this out of my head, it may help me evolve the way I need to. Some of you may understand, I hope.

Let me leave you with this, it’s the 1st couple of paragraphs from my 1st book, let me know what you think in the comments, and let me know if it makes you want to read more.
