You are amazing, you are awesome, never want to change your past.

Do you dwell on the past?

I know I do, all too often.

You ask yourself, could I have done this differently? What if i done that? How would things be different if this did/didn’t happen? What if I said this instead of that? Why did I make that decision?

What if?

What if?

What if?

The list goes on.

I’ve got many regrets in my life, I wish I had done some things different, I wish I didn’t do some things, and I definitely wish I had done more.

Some days I feel like it’s been a life wasted, or mostly wasted. I wish I had done more to live, done more to experience more that life offers. Done something to not upset that person, done something to make that one person happier in any way.

Could you have done something to make your life easier? Could you have done something to stop you going through that pain and hurt?

Fuck all that.

Everything that you have been through, everything you have seen and done and experienced have shaped you into the person you have become.

All your highs and lows have made you who you are. You may be an amazing person you may be a total asshole, you may even feel like I do, just a plain and simple guy, someone that is just plodding through life, kind of a happy go lucky kind of person.

You are who you are, never wish you could change anything from your past, because you wouldn’t be you.

You are amazing, you are awesome, and never let anyone tell you different.

Everyone is different because their past has been unique, you may feel like you are just another random person in the world, but you, YES YOU, have affected everyone around you.

You have changed someones life, often for the better at most points. Without you being in their life they wouldn’t be who they are either.

Even just a smile can change someones course, every hello, every smile, every conversation, every text message, every friend request, every flirt or flirtatious look, every hand shake, every little bit of help you have given, every time you haven’t helped, every bit of advice good or bad, every bit of feedback, all of this and much more has helped someone developed, no matter how big or small you have changed someone even in a very small way.

Just like everytime someone comes into contact with you, you change ever so slightly. Even if someone cuts you up on the motorway, that few seconds of braking could have stopped you from having an accident further down the road.

That person who pushed in front of you in the que at the supermarket, may have delayed you 2 or 3 minutes but that 2 or 3 minutes could even have stopped you getting run over outside because someone driving like a twat, just a wild example.

Even that feeling of you feeling shitty, someone tells you to grow up or gives you advice, just a little something to help your mind process things a little better, making your life slightly easier.

It’s called the butterfly effect, you know if a butterfly flaps it’s wings in one place causing a tornado 100 miles away, kind of thing.

Everything if a stone throw in a massive lake, causing ripples through your timeline, the difference is the size of the stone. Sometimes it’s a pebble, small ripples but still ripples. Not very often it’s a boulder, causing a massive wave.

Either way, that is your life changing, sometimes it’s good, sometimes it’s down right shitty, but these experiences make you who you are, and they will continue to do so for the rest of your life, take it as it comes, go with the flow, keep smiling and enjoy the ride people.

You only live once, live it.

  2. Yes, thinking of the past does not help at all, even if we have regrets in our lives. We have to let them go for the time has passed to dwell on them. They will. only stop us from building what could be beautiful up aheadπŸ’œ
