Let me start off by wishing my bro a happy birthday, have a good one bro.

We are expecting more snow over the weekend, and then warmer temps from Sunday evening and upto 13°c on Monday, so let’s hope it pushes this cold away just a little eh?

I’m not sure if it’s because I’m getting older (35 in February, not old is it? Damn well feels like it) or if it’s the cold but my knee is killing me this week.

It’s annoying as hell because this week it’s been my knee, last week was my back, I feel broken, but it’s due to the job I do, being a HGV mechanic (Heavy Goods Vehicles mechanic, to those who don’t know) is damn hard work and fucks up your body.

Some days I wish I was clever enough to do something else, I’m not saying I’m not clever, because I bloody am, not blowing my own trumpet or anything, but I was damn dumb to think it would be a good idea being a mechanic. It hurts, especially when you get older.

Don’t get me wrong I love my job, but I also love writing, since I found a love for writing I’ve been interested in what kind of writing jobs are out there, but I don’t have the qualifications for it, so how the hell do I stand a chance?

I don’t have the money or time to go free lance but there isn’t any way I can find to actually even start that, surely there’s a way to do it in my spare time right? For the life of me I can’t find it.

Hell I don’t want to be crawling on the floor and under trucks until I’m 70, or by the time I get to retire it’ll probably be 80.

As I said I love my job, and I love my life, I just want it to come easy for once, selfish of me? Maybe, I’m not sure but we all want an easy life don’t we?

It’s not that tough really is it? We take each day as it comes and just go with the flow, and sometimes we get that big break, sometimes we don’t, and sometimes we miss that big break without realising it.

So yeah take life as it comes, take the good with the bad, the good will outweigh the bad at some point. Just never forget any of it because that’s what makes us grow.
