Well I asked for snow, and by God did we get it.

I know I’m a day late again, with a damn good excuse, at least your getting it eh? Albeit it day 11 of the santablog series is a day late, but hey you get 2 today, think of it that way.

Saturday night brought snow, not usually a problem, I know how to drive in the snow, properly.

The problem was treacle tits was dog sitting in stroud, many of you won’t know what stroud is like. Let me tell you it’s awesome out there, the views are awesome but when the snow strikes its deadly.

So Saturday night I dropped her off to dog sit, the owners were going to a wedding, and I went home to watch the footy.

When we woke up Sunday morning the ground was white, looks lovely and awesome, but we knew Stroud would be way worse.

On the way there was plenty of cars in accidents and gone off the road, and a hell of a lot of trucks stranded and struggling.

Many people would have been better staying at home.

Want to see how awesome the snow in stroud looks?

Obviously I had to go pick her up, as Sunday was the MX-5 owners club Christmas lunch, it took me forever to reach her, and I had to walk up the massive steep hill because the car wouldn’t make it.

Fuck me, I realised how unfit I actually am, it killed me, I nearly died people, I really did.

I can lift truck wheel and lift a hell of a lot of heavy stuff, and undo the tightest of bolts with my super human strength, but I’ll be damned if I have to walk, especially up a hill.

I need to do something don’t I? I can’t be this unfit, and the gyms cost too much, so it may have to be random walks, just to try at least to get fit.

So yeah, Sunday was very adventurous, the meal was alright though, and boy is at college this week, so his dad picked him up and took him this time.

Last night was an early night, I was tired and that’s why the blog wasn’t done, I hope you understand.

The santablog series has made me realise how much I miss blogging, and given me that spark that has been missing for quiet a while.

After Christmas I think I’ll get back into my book too, I have done a bit more since last mention, but not enough, and I’ve realise I’m going to change the format of it too, because we’ll I decided too haha.

Also to end this blog, please be careful out there if you have snow, here is some advice, if you brake too hard and start sliding, take your foot off the brake so your wheels can spin again, then slowly brake, and keep taking your foot off to avoid locking up, that’s when you loose traction, oh and brake way early, and don’t drive too close, second bit of advice, don’t over rev, don’t spin your wheel, that’s when traction gets lost again and you will compact the snow, turning it to ice then your fucked. If you start spinning take your foot off the accelerator and slowly pull away, don’t think the faster your wheels spin the faster you will get traction, be careful and drive careful, the more you spin on snow the more it’ll turn to ice, the more chance of another car having an accident.
