THE SANTABLOG SERIES.

Wow, day 7 or the santablog series.
So another day closer to the most magical time of the year.
For many it doesn’t feel like Christmas until they wake up on the 25th day of the 12th month of each year.
For me, personally, the build up is where it is at.
Counting down the days.
That’s what excites me, you could say counting down the days for anything is what excites me, but I never usually make plans and take every day as it comes.
But Christmas is just that, it’s a set date every year that just brings happy memories, you can plan a holiday and go at any time of the year, but Christmas remains on the exact same date, pretty much like your birthday.
Everything revolves around that day, unless your working, which 99% of the time if you are working Christmas day, your providing a very very valuable service, like a doctor of nurse.
So please share a thought for those who still have to work, I also wish you a very merry Christmas even though your at work, and thank you for your service and the amazing things you do, and the big sacrifices you endure.
As I was saying everything revolves around that day, and new year too, everywhere (not everywhere as some smaller places like corner shops stay open, but they tend to not celebrate christmas due to their own beliefs) closes so everyone can spend some time with loved ones, but it is nice to see the streets mainly empty and everyone isn’t in a rush to get to work or rushing to the shops.
As I say it’s a magical time of year that even feels magical, no matter what or who you believe in or not.
It is a time for family and a time for relaxing and also a time to reflect on the year past and the year to come.
Mostly it’s a time of year to give thanks for everything and everyone involved in your year to date.
This year think about the new friendships you have forged, and all the strangers you have met and may never see again, think about all the hardships and obstacles you have faced, and the times you have been helped through tough times and the times you have given that help.
A year is a long time, approximately 31,536,000 seconds, 525600 minutes, 8760 hours, 365 days, 52.143 weeks (to be approximate), 12 months, just every day coming and going whether you like it or not.
That’s also working off the calander, not scientifically.
When you think about it, that is a hell of a lot of time, but damn doesn’t it just fly by in a blink of an eye?
So yeah make the most of the time you have, especially Christmas time, that is the best time, because you spend it with who you want to spend it with, and in many cases not many people have that time for the rest of the year.
Think of it this way, you put things off, you can do this that or the other tomorrow, that can wait till I got some time. I’ll go visit my mum tomorrow, I’ll call my friend later, they will still be there right?
Even though we take advantage of the fact people will still be there tomorrow, it’s not always correct is it? God forbid something happens then you have lost all that time, putting things off because your tired or busy then poof, your missing them.
So also this year don’t put things off because it’s Christmas, make that phone call, go on the unplanned visit to a loved one, spend your days, hours, minutes and seconds with the ones you love, they may still be there tomorrow but how many tomorrows do you actually have?
You see time is a very sensitive structure, time flies by without you noticing, spend your time wisely, because soon enough you will run out and everyone will just become a memory.
This year remember the memories you do have, but make new ones.
Do take advantage.
At the end of the day, memories are all we have.
Hey have something to make you smile hehe.

Todays christmas song is an old classic, one of the best, but also emotional. Listen with an open heart.
