What is christmas?
Serious question ….. can you answer honestly? What is christmas to you?
Some people say Christmas is presents.
Some say Christmas is just a money making scheme for the shops.
Some say Christmas is just a few extra days off work.
You would be wrong, Christmas isn’t about the presents, it’s about having that time as a family.
It most definitely isn’t about money making, although they do cash in as such, but it shouldn’t be seen as that.
Christmas is more than just a few extra days off work, it is the fact that everyone comes together, even if it just once a year, it’s about having that extra time to spend with lived ones.
We have every weekend off (in most cases that is, some people work weekends) but we don’t take advantage of the weekends, we just have a rest from work, but Christmas is a rest from everything.
Christmas is a tradition when everyone (who celebrates Christmas) shares the same common goal, it’s the same in any way of life, or even in any religion, every religion has their own holidays, but it is the same concept.
Does that make sense?
Christmas is about having a rest from the every day, a rest from life, a rest from responsibility.
It doesn’t matter what you believe, it is a time of joy, a time to have fun, a time to just forgive and forget, a celebration to the end of another year, and the welcoming of the next.
Christmas isn’t always just about presents, or the decorations, or about extra days off work, it is about whole communities coming together, from all walks of life.
The magic of Christmas is a unity of the whole world, whether you celebrate Christmas or not.
Christmas is celebrated all round the globe, so many people with the same thought going through their head at the same time, that is what Christmas magic is about.
Christmas is for everyone, Christmas is about, it’s one time of the year where everyone has a common interest.
Christmas is you, it is me, it is everything and everyone around us, so enjoy your Christmas, and enjoy the spirit and fundamentals of Christmas.
De-stress and regroup for the next years to come, call that old friend, make up with that family member you no longer talk too.
Also forgive yourself, for anything you may regret from this year.
Enjoy your Christmas, because ….. well ….. it only comes once a year, take advantage of the time you have.
By the way, sorry this ones late, I got home from work yesterday a d my head was killing me, to the point my head felt like it was going to explode, so please excuse day 19 being late.
