Day 17 peeps, 8 days to go, can you believe it’s just over a week to go?

So my weekend has begun, and I don’t have a working Saturday until next year now, sounds good right?

So what you all doing this weekend? I’m planning on not a lot to be fair.

Maybe have a few drinks, and definitely have some hot chocolates with some hot chocolate bombs, have you seen them in the shops?

They usually look a bit like this.

Basically just a chocolate ball with marshmallows inside, you just put them into your hot chocolate, then get yourself some whipped cream and squirt it on top then have some broken up flake sprinkled over the top of that, let it cool down a little so you don’t scold your tongue then happy days the perfect hot chocolate.

I hope you all have an awesome weekend, and a chilled one before the manic Christmas weekend in 8 days.

Then the weekend after we will be saying goodbye 2021 and hello to 2022, how will you be celebrating yours?

Will you be having a quiet night in with the family or going all out at a party? (If they let us obviously)

Just remember everything you have thos Christmas, there are many people with even less, and many more with nothing at all. So appreciate what you got and what you have and those around you too. Show the love, but also remember the ones who aren’t there, they are still with you, they are still spending their Christmas with you even though you cant see them.

You may have family or friends or loved ones that aren’t with you for any number of reasons this Christmas, in many many different circumstances, but remember this, they are right next to you, they are still with you watching over you or even thinking about you.

You are not alone, even if you feel you are.

Also remember what Christmas is about too, I mean way way back in 1914, world war 1, on the 24th of December 2 massive opposing forces laid down an unofficial cease-fire. We have all heard the story, along the western front of the war all fire arms were laid down and not one shot was fired for Christmas, allowed forces and Germans fighting for over 6 months solid, saw each other as enemies but they stopped fighting for this special day.

Shot they even played football in no mans land then shook hands, exchanged gifts and went back to their bunkers, that’s what Christmas is about, even 2 extremely feared forces and enemies could embrace each other on Christmas.

Obviously the fighting continued the next day, and carried on for another 4 years but that’s besides the point.

It was unofficial and impromptu, and they were all doing the same thing, being away from their loved ones.

That’s how magical Christmas is.
