THE SANTABLOG SERIES
So we reach day 13, I bet your wandering how I’m keeping track eh?
Well probably not as day 13 is the 13th so hmm, tell me I’m dumb, go on I’ll let you, or am I? I’m just trying to make you smile at the screen ….. honest.
Today was a bit of a shitty one, I had to go out on a breakdown, but solved it eventually, with some help from the work family.
Still got that Christmas vibe.
The fuel tanker trucks have a dodgy thing where if the doors are open the truck brakes will stay on, only the fuel tankers, and it was a nightmare at 1st but very simple and easy in the end, I should have gone with my origional plan.
Strip the door down. You see the doors were closed, but eventually found out the switch that says the doors are closed was broken. It was the 1st time I’ve encountered this problem so I didn’t know from the off. So a few calls later it was solved, the only problem was information was getting scrambled and mixed up. Well that and the laptop died so I couldn’t read the fault properly, and then figured out it wasn’t even recording the fault that it had.
Damn stupid technology, why can’t they keep things simple? Please tell me why? Everyone knows if your going to be moving a vehicle the doors should be closed.
BUT do you know what that tells me? Dumb ass people in the past have been leaving doors open with the hand brake off (they are electric hand brakes now, so more complicated). It also gives off a damn awful alarm sound, so to save the ears of the neighbours and workforce, I disconnected the horn, it was fucking annoying.
So basically, a simple fix was just made complicated by too many voices. You know the saying too many cooks spoil the broth? Well it’s damn true, if I just had the confidence to just carry ok with my origional plan I would have found the fault earlier, I just needed to know where the damn door switch was, as I said I’ve never encountered the problem before so i just needed to confirm.
Which then led to mixed messages, missed calls and frustration and too many cooks, this then causing too many variables.
I should have just found out where the switch was (which was in the door lock catch, which may I say again, I didn’t know at the time) and unplugged it and it would have saved all the frustration and time.
Hey it’s all a learning curve right?
Still, it’s been a good day, everyone likes to help each other.
It is christmas afterall.
Hey has anyone been keeping up with the marvel stuff? Over the past few days I’ve watched black widow, shang-chi the legend of the 10 rings, and watched the 4 episodes of Hawkeye that are on Disney plus. AWESOME is all I’m going to say, but hey I’m addicted to marvel anyway so there we go.
I can’t wait to watch the new spiderman no way home. I want to go to the cinema to watch it but shit me sideways and call me a donkey, isn’t it just damn expensive these days?
It’ll be on Netflix of DVD soon enough. Hopefully.
I’ve also been watching all the dr who series again, I cant help it, I watched the dr who flux series and it got me addicted again, still my favourite episode ever is probably the doctors wife, if you watch it you will know it’s the episode the tardis gets put into a person, played by Suranne Jones, and she played an amazing part by the way.
Anyway, sorry if I’m boring you.
I’ve not seen any decent Christmas films as of yet this year, so hopefully some will be coming soon.
