A quick note on the name
This project was originally called Creators Unite. I guess it still is, but the domain will have to change.
The name still fits what this is about… creators coming together, sharing space, supporting each other, and being seen without fighting an algorithm.
But building something like this in the real world means dealing with real costs. The domain for that name alone would cost over £5,000, which simply isn’t realistic for someone working full-time and self-funding a community project like this, not on my wages.
So the name/domain is changing.
The idea and the intention is not.
The values aren’t any different, and the goal remains the same.
What you’re about to read is still the exact vision. The name will come later, once I find something that fits the spirit of this space without putting it out of reach before it’s even begun.
This isn’t about branding or perfection. It’s about building something real, at a human scale, and letting it grow naturally.
This is also not a blog, it is a plan I want to put together for everyone to read and throw some ideas my way, but also to see how people react. I also want to see if this is worth pursuing. I want to hear your feedback (on all socials). I want you to comment and share everywhere with all your fellow creators and audience because, well, let’s be honest… this will get pushed aside by the algorithm on all socials.
So please, I beg you to share and comment (even message me on any socials) to let me know if you would join and visit (as a creator or fan).
I want to create something for us all, not for profit or attention. This is to help us as creators, so I need your input and feedback because this will be your space. It is for all of us. I will just be building the space, you will be the ones using it.
Creators Unite
A place to create. A place to be seen. A place without algorithms.
I’ve been thinking about this for a long time.
Not just for weeks or months, but for years. Watching creators pour their heart into what they do, only for it to disappear into an algorithm that decides whether you’re worthy of being seen or not.
You can make something honest, raw, beautiful, and meaningful… and it still gets buried.
That’s not a reflection of your work.
That’s a broken system.
This blog is me laying everything on the table. What I want to build, why I want to build it, how it will start, where I hope it will go, and why there will be a small charge involved for creators.
No spin. No sales pitch. Just the truth.
Why this needs to exist
Right now, creators are scattered.
Writers here. Musicians there. Artists somewhere else. Everyone is fighting for scraps of attention on platforms that were never designed to support creativity, only engagement. You see influencers getting more attention than real art, you see people flashing their bits getting more attention than someone putting their whole life in a written piece, you get people talking shit getting more attention than a musician pouring their heart out.
The system is broken.
Algorithms reward noise.
They reward trends.
They reward people who already have numbers.
What they don’t reward is:
- small creators
- new voices
- people experimenting
- people healing
- people creating for the love of it
I want to build something different.
A place where creators are not hidden.
A place where your work doesn’t vanish because you didn’t post at the “right time”.
A place where people actually see each other.
What Creators Unite actually is
Creators Unite is not a social media platform.
It’s not a marketplace.
It’s not a business empire.
It’s a shared space.
A place where creators can:
- post their work
- have a profile that links to their socials
- collaborate with other creators
- find new audiences
- support each other
- grow without pressure
And just as importantly, it’s a place where viewers can:
- browse freely
- read, listen, watch, and enjoy
- discover creators naturally
- follow them elsewhere if they choose
No accounts needed to view.
No paywalls to read.
No algorithms deciding what matters.
Free to view. Always.
This part is important.
Creators Unite will be completely free to browse.
Anyone can:
- read the writing
- listen to the music
- watch performances
- explore different creative areas
- share links with friends
There will never be a charge for people who just want to enjoy creativity.
Art should be accessible.
Why there will be a small charge for creators
This is the part I want to be completely honest about.
Running a space like this costs money.
It costs time.
It costs energy.
I work full-time.
I don’t have spare money lying around.
And I can’t carry this alone.
This isn’t about profit.
It’s about sustainability.
The small monthly or yearly contribution from creators will go toward:
- hosting
- security
- backups
- keeping the site fast and smooth
- keeping it ad-free
- keeping it human
You are not paying to be seen.
You are paying to help keep the space alive.
Think of it like this:
It’s a free gallery.
You only pay if you want to exhibit.
And if someone stops paying, their work stays. They just can’t post new content until they rejoin. No punishment. No pressure.
A space built on sharing, not competition
Creators Unite only works if it’s shared.
You don’t just post your work and wait.
You bring your people with you.
You share your page.
Your followers come and discover other creators.
Those creators do the same.
And slowly, organically, everyone grows.
Not because an algorithm boosted them.
But because humans did.
This is how communities used to work before everything became a numbers game.
Different spaces for different creators
This won’t be a messy feed where everything blends together.
There will be dedicated areas for:
- writers
- musicians
- artists
- photographers
- filmmakers
- spoken word
- mixed media
Each creator will have a place that feels like home, not like they’re shouting into a void.
Community, collaboration, and learning
This isn’t just about posting finished work.
I want Creators Unite to be a place where creators can:
- swap ideas
- ask for feedback
- look for collaborators
- share knowledge
- help each other grow
Over time, I want to build:
- idea-sharing spaces
- creator discussions
- training resources
- guides for things like publishing, releasing music, and building audiences
Not gurus or fake promises.
Just creators helping creators.
Competitions and creative challenges
Looking ahead, I also want this space to be fun.
Not competitive in a cut-throat way, but encouraging, playful, and motivating.
In the future, I’d love to run creative competitions and challenges. Things like themed prompts, collaborative projects, or short challenges where creators can take part if they want to, without pressure or expectation.
The aim wouldn’t be prizes for the “best” in some algorithmic sense. It would be about participation, visibility, and giving creators a reason to try something new, step slightly outside their comfort zone, or work alongside someone they wouldn’t normally cross paths with.
Some competitions might be judged. Some might be community-voted. Some might just exist for the joy of creating something and sharing it.
Nothing forced. Nothing constant. Just opportunities to create, experiment, and be seen when it feels right.
The future, live shows and shared stages
Looking ahead, I want to create a dedicated space on the site for live shows.
A digital stage.
A place where:
- musicians can perform
- writers can read
- spoken word artists can share
- creators can host live sessions
This would be done in a way that keeps costs low, runs smoothly, and gives creators a genuine spotlight without technical stress.
This won’t happen overnight.
But it is very much part of the vision.
How this will start
This will start small.
Carefully.
Slowly.
Human.
No big launch.
No hype train.
Just creators who believe in the idea.
I’ll handle curation at first.
I’ll protect the tone of the space.
I’ll listen to feedback and let the community help shape it.
If it grows, it grows naturally.
If it stays small, it stays meaningful.
Why I’m doing this at all
Because I’m tired of watching good people get buried.
Because creativity shouldn’t feel like a battle.
Because artists deserve better.
Because community beats competition every time.
This isn’t about replacing social media.
It’s about building something alongside it.
A place you can come back to.
A place that feels safe.
A place that belongs to the people in it.
That’s the plan.

I like the idea but, you need to make it work like this. No up front fees period. Let it grow organically. Let the artist set the price and you take a small percentage of the sales and we all win in this way of doing things. You will find a lot more musicians who will be willing to do this by doing what I outlined above. We indie artists need something like this desperately.

Im not really selling anything… neither are the artists… it’s more of a community where artists can show off their stuff (and sell stuff if they want, no percentage towards myself) it’ll be a community to find other artists to collaborate with, but also a place to find new fans but also a place to share your own fans with others, giving them the chance to find other artists too. The £1 “fee” is more to help me support the site and keep it running (as it’s expensive and a lot of money to set up) all money raised will go back into the site, aka to pay for the website and domain the following year. I wouldn’t be making any money from it or any profit.
I just want to create a place that is algorithm free and maybe a place where we can do online concerts or live shows, ect. I’d also be hoping to bring in people who may be able to offer contracts (for example) to indie artists to make it big.
But its not just a place for musicians, it’ll be a place for writers and artists and any other kind of creativity.
The possibilities are endless. But the costs are high. This is why I ask for £1 a month from people contributing because its beneficial for them… its just expensive for me to set up and keep running and also all the time I would be putting into the website to keep it running.
