Merry Christmas

By the time you’re reading this, Christmas is already happening or ending (At least in the UK it has).

The cooking is done or abandoned. Someone is wearing something with gravy on it. The living room looks like a wrapping paper explosion and nobody has the energy to care. The serious part of the day is behind you now.

And that’s exactly where I wanted to meet you, to finish off the santablog series, just as everything is coming to an end. I didn’t want to disturb your day, I know you can’t resist reading my words.

Thank you for being a part of this journey I created to help us all get through it with a smile (hopefully).

We’ve spent the whole month walking our way toward this moment. Through history, culture, tiredness, memory, chaos, quiet nights, long drives home, and the strange magic that shows up whether we’re ready for it or not.

And here you are.

Still standing. Still smiling. Still breathing in the afterglow of a day that only comes once a year.

I hope today gave you at least one stupid laugh that wouldn’t stop. One moment where you forgot the rest of the year existed. One tiny memory that you’ll still think about in six months when the lights are packed away and life feels ordinary again.

The SantaBlog Series was never about Santa.

It was about people. About how we carry stories, survive seasons, stumble our way through messy years, and somehow still turn up for something joyful when the calendar tells us it’s time.

And you turned up for it.

So wherever you are right now, half asleep on the sofa, poking at leftovers you swore you couldn’t eat anymore, scrolling your phone while someone else controls the remote…

This is your permission slip to just be happy.

No thinking or fixing. No analysing.

Just Christmas.

Thank you for spending this month with me. For reading, sharing, reflecting, laughing, and quietly letting these words be part of your December.

Now go and enjoy what’s left of today.

Wear the silly jumper.

Have another drink.

Steal a Quality Street from the tin even though you said you were done.
