The world has always been burning, it’s nothing new but it’s also nothing natural either. I hear people saying “The world has turned to shit,” pretty accurate to be fair but not totally.
The world has always been shit, it’s just a different version of shit.
As the videos show, the same song is from different generations.
The thing is, the world is run by people we choose to elect (mostly, insert awkward face emoji here). Mostly they lie to get elected and make promises they don’t intend to keep. Most of these politicians come from rich backgrounds.
They have never experienced the life of the real people they serve. Yes, I say serve because that is what they are supposed to do. They should serve the public.
In reality, they mostly serve themselves, their agenda and their friends. Everything comes down to money in the end. The “lower class” are the only people who suffer from this. Another severe case of the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
Life is tough as it is. Rising prices make it even tougher. Everything from bread and milk to fuel and house prices is increasing. Rent costs more too to top it off. Even worse, interest prices are taking a battering while tax is killing us off too. It’s shit enough that we pay so much tax on our wages and food. We even have to pay tax on any money we save. We also have to pay tax on what we inherit (if you’re lucky enough to inherit any).
We are taxed through our eyeballs, and what do we get in return?
We get a free democratic country, right? We can work for most of our lives. When we are too old to enjoy that money, we get to retire. That’s if we manage to save any at all. Woohoo.
We can’t survive without money, unless we have the skills to live off-grid. Not many people can live off-grid because we rely on the superstores way too much.
The thing is we need money to survive, we need it to live, we need it to enjoy the finer things in life. We love money, don’t we? But we also hate it. We love to have it, we hate to earn it.
Money is also the route to all evil. People do all sorts of things to avoid doing too much to earn it. That’s why we have so many influencers these days, or should I say wannabe influencers. So many people think making money is easy, some even think it’s owed to them. Believe it or not, there used to be a time when people would have never thought about doing homemade videos to make money. Well unless you wanted to make £200 sending a clip to you’ve been framed (wow, am I showing my age right here? Many wouldn’t even know what that is these days), the only way to show off you’re families mishaps.
A lot of people want money for nothing, where do you think accident claims come from? Which also brings about higher insurance prices for us all. Vicious cycle in all honesty. Someone claims off the insurance companies because they end up in an accident, they get a little bit of free cash but where does that cash come from? Definitely not out of the back pockets of the owners of said insurance companies, oh no of course not. This extra money comes from our own back pockets. The more people claim for “personal injuries” the more we have to pay for insurance in the first place.
People even kill for money. People do unspeakable things for money. We can’t change that though, can we? I mean what could actually replace money? A bartering system? Swapping goods for goods? We would just end up in the same place anyway, right? It’s just human nature to be greedy, isn’t it? Human nature to want more than we have. Human nature to want what we don’t have.
Money makes the world turn. Nothing can indeed happen without money, nothing can be built or grown or even moved around without money. Everything revolves around money, and money revolves around everything. There is no getting around the fact we can not do anything without money, so yes money does make the world turn.
It’s a fact that sucks, but it’s true. Money is everything in this world, but too much can change a person, it can make them greedy, it can turn them obnoxious, and it can turn them into a selfish person.
How much money is too much money?
You can’t have too much money, right?
It’s impossible to have too much money, isn’t it? I mean if you had all the money in the world all you’re problems would be solved, right? But then again having all the money in the world would be pointless, it would be worthless. Ok, take it this way, if everyone in the world was given £1 million, it would be amazing right? everyone is a millionaire, world hunger resolved and poverty evicted from existence, great eh?.
In reality, it would disrupt the flow of life. Before you know it a loaf of bread would cost a million quid. The poverty line would just shift, £1 million would in effect equal £2.50 in new old money. That is the exact meaning of inflation.
That is the effect of greed, the cycle of money and life, that is the difference between rich and poor. I’ve heard people say that the richest people in the world could give a little bit of their money away to “normal” people and help everyone get rich. It doesn’t work that way, as the above example proves.
This is why the richest people in the world hold onto their money, even when they have too much, or more than enough. The balance must be kept there to stop the system falling down.
It sucks to be a peasant, it sucks to be poor, but we are all just cogs in the system keeping everything from tumbling down. We can’t change it, I mean how could we? we are just mere peasants.
