DAY 22

Happy Sunday (even though its nearly over), I had an awesome day.

Had me a day with lil man, I love days like today. He talked my head off all day, not complaining I love it. He told me alot about space and the story of the solar system all the way through the drive and through the carvery, he’s like a sponge absorbing all the information around him.

It’s upsetting because it’ll be the last time I see him this side of the new year, it breaks my heart every time I take him back to his mums. Every time he asks for longer, he even tries to find something to do to extend the time we have, I love it but it breaks my heart to take him back.

It’s tough being a dad who only sees his kid once a month, next year though I’m going to fight to actually take him proper places.

For context, his mother gets really funky and argumentative if I “take him too far”, yeah I don’t understand either, she’s worried I’ll end up in an accident or not take him back (even though I’ve never ever indicated or hinted to the fact I wouldn’t take him back, I think it’s more about control. For more context read pervious posts, if you want to know) but next year nothing will be stopping me, I’m taking proper control over my time with my son.

It may seem a bit weird coming from a man but it’s so difficult to even see my own kid without rules sometimes, some men out there may understand.

So next year, even if it turns into an argument and threats of not being allowed to see my son, I’m going to say fuck it and do what the hell I want with my son when I have him. Afterall it was him who said he wants to do more stuff like go to Cadbury world or the museum or the butterfly farm. So I’m going to fight the good fight for my son.

It’s sad really isn’t it? How some people try to control the ex using their kids, in fact it’s fucked. It really is.

It happens alot, more than people care to think about.

That being said, today was an awesome day, the perfect end to a long week.

Only two more days of work, not a bad shout is it? Only problem is the fact I got a few long days at work, I need to open and lock up.

I suppose it’ll bring a little bit of extra cash for the new year eh?

Just in time for my birthday too hehe.

Well I hope you all had an awesome weekend. For those who are working until Christmas day, I hope the days fly by so fast it’s a blur. Bring on Christmas.
