THE SANTABLOG SERIES
DAY 3

It is the most wonderful time of the year isn’t it? I mean, even at work I can see all the lads starting to feel happier than they have for a while.
The christmas spirit really doesn’t go too far away and is always hanging around just ready to be plucked at a moments notice.
As the day go by, ever closer to Christmas the spirit grows stronger, it’s an amazing feeling that should last all year.
As boxing day arrives and Christmas is finally over we all have a collective sigh of relief, gutted that it’s all over but relieved with the fact all the fuss is done and dusted.
Everything seems like a big rush to make Christmas perfect that people forget it is actually just another day, sound dull right?…. but as it is just another day, it is a special day that brings everyone together.
A hell of a lot of people all over the world coming together for one cause ….. happiness.
Happiness comes in all shapes and forms, some enjoy the rush, some enjoy the company, many enjoy the presents but everyone loves the food.
Food is the biggest enjoyment of all, it is the pathway to every heart and soul, if your belly is full your life feels full, and that is the aim is it not? (Well the turkeys sure don’t feel that way). Food is sustenance, food is the only thing that can’t let you down, food is the thing that keeps us alive, it’s the one constant in life.
There are many aspects to Christmas, that time with the family, the enjoyment and excitement, but many enjoy that alone time too, when everyone is in the same position in life ….. the day off work. Yeah you may say bank Holidays are the same, but they aren’t really are they? I mean Christmas day everywhere is closed, there’s no distrations, no shopping to do, nowhere to go unless it’s somewhere peaceful. The roads are mostly empty because everyone stays home, the only road trips are the important ones of going to see family and friends.
Everyone else is smiling and cheery, even strangers on the street, young and old alike, wishing strangers and loved ones alike a merry Christmas, even those who don’t celebrate Christmas.
Christmas truely is a wonderful time, it’s magical, it’s special. It’s for everyone in all walks of life of all religions and race and gender. It brings everyone together and in my book that is magical.
