Countdown to christmas begins tomorrow, the return of the Santablog series.

Tomorrow marks the count down to Christmas, are you ready?

I’m kind of worried noone will read them, only because I’ve been MIA for so long, I’m not sure I still have all my followers, here’s to hope I guess.

The final countdown to Christmas always brings me joy to write, I love the smiles my blogs create and I hope you will do me the pleasure of liking and commenting.

Keeping up the tradition of The Santablog Series, I’ll be adding a new christmas song or 2 to help you all (and myself) get into the spirit of christmas.

Everyone loves the run up to Christmas don’t they? I mean every day brings you closer to the most favourite day of the year shares by almost everyone across the world. Christmas brings everyone together, family, friends and even strangers.

Even after the shit year I have had, the run up to Christmas brings me happiness, it never fails to make the year feel worth it. There is a certain magic in the air when Christmas arrives, and the run up to Christmas just helps to build that magic day by day.

I know Christmas isn’t a constant happy time or a continuous smile, we have all lost someone who we will remember during this time, I myself have lost 2 dear friends and a family member this year under different circumstances and it hurts, it hurts a fucking lot and to have this Christmas, the first without them amplifies that hurt a million times over.

Memories of lost ones are often enough to destroy your Christmas, or even your year (which it was close to doing for me this year) BUT I speak for many out there, they would not want you (or me) to let their passing ruin anything for you, especially your Christmas, they would want us to enjoy it and make the most of every day we have, ok scrap that, I mean every second we have.

We grieve and we cry, but our loved ones would want us to be happy, am I right?

It’s tough to move on, it’s one of the most difficult things to do isn’t it? moving on without those people we have lost, imagining what or how life will be without them, even worse when their passing feels so recent.

They would want us happy, they would want us to enjoy the moments we have, even though it feels like a betrayal being happy when they cannot be.

But they are happy, every time you smile, they smile too, every time you think of them they continue to be alive. You are the one keeping them alive with your memories and stories, after all that is all we are at the end, we are a story, we are many stories in every single life and mind that we have touched.

We are their legacy, we keep their legacy alive, remember all those happy times, all those smiles, all those silly pranks and all those hugs and kisses (in many cases), all those adventures we shared.

We are their legacy, so keep that legacy going, create more adventures, pranks, smiles, hugs and kisses. I guarantee when your time comes they will be waiting for you to hear all about the things they have missed.

How disappointed they would be if all you could say was …..

“I couldn’t live, I couldn’t smile, I couldn’t laugh”.

Remember them and create an extended version of your story without them but with their memory, make them happy by being happy.
