DAY 20.

5 more sleeps peeps.

Wow it’s very very close eh?

Literally 5 more days to go, they it’s Christmas, only 2 more days of work, then no more until next year.

Today this blog is taking a while, as I can only use one hand to type, I sliced my thumb at work today, pretty bad but I won’t have to chop it off so that’s not too bad I suppose.

We all see Christmas as the 25th of December, many see it as the birth of Jesus (I’m not religious, so that bit isn’t true for me, sorry religious people), some see Christmas as presents, some see it as food on the table, most preferably a turkey (but not limited to) some see it as just another day, some see it as a waste of money, some call it a money making scheme for the rich shops and some see it as the be all and end all of the year.

Not me.

I don’t see it as any of that, I see Christmas as a build up to what is known as Christmas.

Christmas is a feeling, it’s a joyful month long period of time where people come together and smile (some for the first time of the year) it’s a time we all come together and celebrate a day as equals.

Even if you hate Christmas it still brings a smile to your face at some point.

You see Christmas is what you make it, it’s a time to reflect of the year gone past, it’s a celebration of another year you have made it through, it’s the welcoming of a new year, another trip around the sun completed.

It gears you up ready for the next one, it’s a passing of time, it’s a celebration of all you have achieved this year, and a planning session on what’s next.

Christmas isn’t about 1 day, Christmas is a bunch of days, a right of passage to another year, an excuse to have a party, an excuse to smile.

Enjoy your Christmas, revel in your successes and others too, celebrate all you have endured this year and what has made you a stronger person, another year done and gone.

Another year gone, yeah, time is precious, spend it wisely.

What are your plans next year?

My biggest plan is to make it to the next one, but even bigger than that is to finish my damn book and release it.

A plan I will definitely succeed in, and will be one of my successes I plan to celebrate next Christmas.
