THE SANTABLOG SERIES.

DAY 15.
1st off let me say Happy birthday to my brother, you getting old now kid.
It’s been a long day peeps, I’m tired so this will probably be a short one.
Unless I just get lost in the typing, hey we will see eh?
I should have done this earlier, but I ended up falling to sleep, I’m not feeling too well today. Which doesn’t really surprise me to be fair, I’ve been surrounded by people being poorly, and I thought I got away Scott free without catching anything, but on my day off I started feeling shit, and tonight was supposed to be my work Christmas meal, so I’m double gutted and pissed off.
It’ll be OK though, I’ll make up for it on my birthday.
I like to wander sometimes if I’ve actually made a difference in life.
Is it a good one or bad one or mediocre?
Have I done enough to be remembered?
Would I be missed?
I’d like to think I make a good impact on the world, on my family and my friends even strangers. I know I’m not perfect, but who is?
I have good days and bad days too, I like to think I’ve shared my knowledge with my work family, I like to think I help make them smile and laugh.
Then I think about some of the stuff I’ve written about, some stuff that has made a difference to people, be it many or few, and then I think about how people have said I’m inspiring and stuff.
Then I remember more stuff that I’ve written, stuff I’ve told you about everyone being amazing, everyone makes a difference, whether it be big or small you all have an impact.
That is the same for me, I’m not insignificant and neither are you, we are all powerful in our own way, in one way or another we are all an inspiration, to someone if not many someones.
We all leave a mark, we are all remembered and we all have a story. This blog and all the ones to come previously are pretty much my story, and it will remain here in this corner of the digital world, my story and my legacy will continue.
You may not think you are anything special, but you are. Every single person is special and the impact you have on the world and others is huge, it’s massive, you affect other peoples lives without even knowing about it.
Whether you turn left or right at a junction makes a huge wave of events, they may be little ripples or a tidal wave of effect. You may not even see the effects, you may not know the choices you have made could have been different if you went the other way.
But a difference you have made.
So you see, every choice you make has an effect, even if you don’t see it, just a little change in direction could do a lot of good, or a lot of damage.
You are not insignificant, so this Christmas make sure you do something good, even if it is just sharing a smile, or letting a person with less shopping than you jump the queue. Let that car pull out of the carpark space or that god awful turning, you know that one that even you may have been stuck at for ages a few times before.
Hold that door open for the person behind you, help that old lady/man cross the road, maybe even not swear at the person who made a mistake and cut you up.
Let that truck driver pull out so he can finish his job so he can get home to his family sooner.
Shit even save that parent/child space in the car park for someone who actually has kids with them, yeah you fuckers know who you are.
Show a little kindness to a stranger it makes a tidal wave of difference, trust me, it may even make a difference to you too.
