Day 2

23 days to go.

Another day closer to Christmas and another day closer to 2024, as this year comes to a close I want you to remember the year gone by.

Even though it’s been a tough one for most of us, we have all got good memories too, take them with you into the new year.

A few of mine are, every second I’ve spent with my son has been the best, moving to a new depot (for work) and making new friends, building up on my car (mazda mx-5) with it being an old ish car (2002) it has been fun, at 1st it was a nightmare, breaking down every other week but now I’ve done a load of work on it, it’s making it awesome (I’ll get some pictures up soon for those who are interested).

It’ll be in a car show tomorrow, yes the 1st of many, I hope. It’ll be a classic car show, so there will be many many beautiful cars there, Mine may look like a wart in a field of stars, but I’m still proud of her, she has got a long way to go but she’s well on her way.

So that’ll be another memory I’ll be taking into the new year.

I feel very lucky in the grand scheme of things, and so should you.

Today I would like you to spare a thought for those who aren’t so lucky, spare a thought for those who have nothing, for those who will have nothing this year, the ones who won’t have a Christmas dinner, no Christmas tree, not even a nice warm bed to sleep in or even a roof over their head.

Think about how lucky you are to have all those people (whether it’s one person or 100) round you this Christmas, think about how lucky you are to put the heating on when you get cold (yes it may be expensive, but at least you can put more items of clothing on or at least a blanket, even if it is expensive at least you still can), think about how you can put the kettle on for a brew (be it tea of coffee or a heaven sent hot chocolate).

No matter how your life is going, think about how lucky you are to even be reading this blog.

No matter how bad your life may be, there is always someone worse off than you, never forget that.

Think about others this Christmas, think about the less fortunate.
