India, such a beautiful country, with the oldest civilisation, here a few pictures from a friend and some random India facts.

Hey peeps, another blog as promised.

This one is to have a look at the pictures my blogger friend from india sent me.

Doesn’t that just look amazing.

As I’ve said before, I’ve always wanted to visit India, it’s just an awesome looking place and come highly recommended from people who have visited there.

India has the oldest inhabited city in the world, yes it’s called varanasi. It’s been called the ancient city as it was founded in 500bc. It’s been inhabited consistently ever since, that’s also why it has been known as the ancient city.

Which leads me onto saying it’s the world oldest and largest continuous civilisation. Now that itself is amazing.

India was names after the river indus, that stretches as far as china and through pakistan. The river, origionally called sindhu.

India used to be an island, back in time a long long time ago. Over 100,000,000 years ago most of what is now India was an actual island, but about 50,000,000 years ago the Indian continent plate collided with asia. This collision also created the Himalayas.

India has also never invaded any other country, largly debated these days, but in reality this is one of the most peaceful countries in the whole world.

India is also the 2nd largest english speakers in the world, closely trailing behind USA.

Cows are considered sacred in India.

India is also the wettest inhabited place in the world.

India also has over 300,000 beautiful mosques and over 2 million amazing and beautiful Hindu temples.

The capital of India is New Delhi but Mumbai is the largest city. It is also filled ip with 1.7billion people, that’s a hell of a lot.

Hindi is the official language with English added as an additional official language, and the main religion is Hinduism.

India (Hindi: Bhārat), officially the Republic of India (Hindi: Bhārat Gaṇarājya), and lies in south asia. India also has the beautiful sight that is the Taj Mahal. Now that is some amazing architecture right there.

The people there also welcome us british with open arms, I mean come on thats a feat in itself, not many countries like Britain in the slightest, even our closest allies, I mean shit we even hate each other, with Scotland and Wales most the people there hate the English. We are supposed to be a united kingdom afterall.

So yeah India is an amazing place, and definitely should be on everyone’s bucket list. It’s definitely on mine, and I hope i can afford to go one day.

Fact of india found in random places on a google search mostly.

  3. Ancient Indian Cities reveal facts about the different civilisations of the country. The mode of daily life, customs, cultures, celebrations, festivals, religious observances, caste system, sports activities, education and position of women, architecture or any other possible facet of the past can be studied through the ancient Indian cities. Indeed, it can also be comprehended that most of the contemporary Indian cultural refinement has been heavily borrowed and inspired form these ancient Indian cities. The Indus valley Civilisation, with their huge cultural wonders, was primarily based upon the cities of Harappa and Mohenjodaro. Ancient cities in India are known for their distinctive cultural ethos, with the populace known to have been much civilized and for their well structured societies.
