Hey peeps, 2nd day into the week. It’s been an awesome day to be fair, you remember that brake disc I mentioned in my last blog? Well it was continued today, and what a ball ache that fucker was.

No pictures today sorry, I got lost in the job. Let me just tell you, alloy rims on steel hubs, not good. Even little Jack said “If Rob can’t get it off noone can”, well lets just say I’m aching like a bitch now. Everyone had a bit of a go, swinging that heavy sledge hammer like a lemming (look up the lemmings video game if you don’t know what I mean).

Obviously I managed to get it off, after a fair while, it was a killer but got it done. Not finished because parts were delayed so had to hand it over to the other shift. Gutted but it is what it is.

Also let me tell you SAF axles (a company who make axles for trailers) are shit, yes I said shit. You can’t remove the hub nut without messing up the threads 9 times out of 10. So before that case happens we usually order new nuts and cut off the old ones. Altough they not easy to cut, so I had to take my time drilling tiny holes so I could then split them with a chisel. Also not easy but a good experience. NOT.

It’s all good though, it was a lovely day with the sun out, obviously i got a bit hot and sweaty so had overalls round my waist again, signs of summer coming. (Sorry still no pictures, use your imagination, it’s the best way anyway you won’t enjoy the view)

Anyway I’ll do another blog when get home, I sneaked out and had tea at mums. I’m full of egg chips and beans. Can’t wait for pudding.
